Morgan Fratto

My name is Morgan Fratto. I am from Pensacola, Florida and I am currently double majoring in Mathematics and Education at FSU. My life on campus includes listening to music while reading a good book. Similarly, when I am visiting home, I am at the beach with my music and books. I also studied Latin for four years in high school and was an active participant in the Latin Club for those four years, as well.

As for writing in particular, I have written a copious amount of papers, which include history papers and research papers about movies and books; however, the papers that I enjoy the most are what I like to call “personal papers”, which are the papers about your experiences and life, and I believe that I am well versed in writing detailed descriptions about my experiences.  I enjoyed writing about food in my last English class because it was on a more personal level and not just about food in general. The papers I had written in that particular class were on the purpose of telling the reader about your experiences with food and how food has brought you the people you have in your life, whereas the history and research papers were not personal and seemed rather cold and heartless. In this English class, I hope to be able to write more “personal papers” because, for me, the purpose of writing is to engage a person in an enjoyable experience that is realistic and heartfelt.
